Everyone has a story.
We at the San Antonio Book Festival believe this to be true. The stories featured in the books at our Book Festival are just one of many ways that stories come to life; The Moth is another. In the age-old tradition of true stories told live, The Moth is an international storytelling show that features five storytellers on stage sharing an authentic experience from their own personal lives.
Moth shows are renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. The shows dance between documentary and theater, creating a unique, intimate, and often enlightening experience for the audience.
If you are not familiar with The Moth, join the 30 million listeners worldwide who download the podcast. The Moth Radio Hour is also heard on more than 400 radio stations across the globe. Here are two sample episodes we recommend: “My Place in Rock and Roll History” and “Rare Romance Well Done Marriage.”
Thank you to everyone who joined us at San Antonio’s inaugural Moth Mainstage show on April 7, 2017 at the Majestic Theatre for an epic night of storytelling.
