On Wednesday, December 7, 2022 the San Antonio Public Library Foundation (SAPLF) will host acclaimed author Chris Bohjalian at the Red Berry Estate for a Literary Luncheon. The Literary Luncheon fundraising fete benefits the San Antonio Public Library Foundation’s mission to strengthen the Library in service to the community. Executive Chair is Tricia Tobin.
Chris Bohjalian is the #1 NY Times bestselling author of the newly released The Lioness (already in development for a TV series from eOne and Marsh Entertainment), The Flight Attendant, Midwives, The Hour of the Witch, and 20 additional novels. Three of his novels have been adapted into films and an Emmy-nominated TV series. His work has been translated into 35 languages. “Chris is also an ardent supporter of public libraries, a self-proclaimed ‘Library Activist’, so his choice as our Literary Luncheon’s honored guest was a natural fit.” said Amy Hone, Executive Director of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation. “We are thrilled to host Chris Bohjalian in person at the glamorous Red Berry Estate; this year’s Literary Luncheon promises to be a delicious treat for the intellect and the palate!” Amy continued.
The Library Foundation promotes the importance of literacy, imagination and ideas in our community. Through the funding of capital projects and programming at San Antonio’s libraries, and our own Born to Read and Literacy Caravan programs, we endeavor to positively impact the literacy rates of San Antonians and promote the love of reading and the library.
Proceeds from the Literacy Luncheon will support these programs and SAPLF’s mission to strengthen the library in service to our community. Sponsorship opportunities, tables and tickets are still available HERE.
