Voices of San Antonio History

The history of our great city comes alive through voices and pictures of the men and women who lived it.  In a special effort by the Library Foundation, Voices of San Antonio History, a collection of personal stories are being recorded and kept alive for future generations.

We recently lost two of San Antonio’s legends – Tom Frost (August 2018) and Edith McAllister (July 2018).  Because of this project, a piece of them, along with others like Rosemary Kowalski, Lila Cockrell, Red McCombs, and Phil Harberger, will continue to live on in the San Antonio Public Library’s Texana/Genealogy Collection for decades to come.

You can be part of history too by helping us continue these recordings through a $1,500 sponsorship (covers professional development and maintenance).  Complete the form below to donate to Voices of San Antonio History and the Library’s Texana / Genealogy Department.
