Tracey Ramsey Bennett
Tracey Ramsey Bennett is the President of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation. She has been with the Foundation since 1996 joining the staff as the Assistant Executive Director. In 2000, she was appointed Executive Director and in 2011 as President. Bennett attended The University of Texas in Austin where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio, Television and Film. Tracey has worked in the non-profit sector most of her career. Before joining SAPLF, she worked in the arts community working at the Southwest School of Art and the San Antonio Art Institute.
She is co-founder of the San Antonio Book Festival (SABF) the signature program of the Library Foundation. In addition to SABF, Bennett manages two programs funded and implemented by SAPLF, Born to Read and the Literacy Caravan. Other programs implemented during her time at the Foundation include a series of board books for children in partnership with San Antonio Museum of Art and Trinity University; public art acquisitions for the central library collection by internationally known artists; and founding donor campaigns for all new branch libraries.
