Twenty-three of San Antonio’s best restaurants and caterers had their talented culinary teams fill and decorate picnic baskets (white of course) with French inspired goodies for SAPLF’s Nuit Blanche, our homage to the Parisian Dîner en Blanc that began over 25 years ago and has become a phenomenon at least 40 cities.
Guests arrived the Landa gardens at sunset and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres passed by the RK Group and toasted the evening with champagne, wine, cocktails or a brew. Illuminated by the Eiffel Tower and twinkling lights, they found their way to their tables and enjoyed a meal in groups of six while baskets were passed along the tables to share. Treats from Lily’s Cookies, Cappy’s and Baked Goodness were a sweet finale.
The silent auction featured items from Shetler Wade, Boudro’s, Kendra Scott, Paloma Pachanga & Jon Hart, Waddy Armstrong, Smart Barre & JoyRide, Carroll Dorsey Walker, and our friends at Gruene Hall, the Gruene Mansion and Gruene Historic District. Many thanks to Julian Gold, BASH photo booth and Ken Slavin for entertaining throughout the evening.
