  • Born to Read

    As a part of the Public Library’s 100th birthday (2003), the Foundation’s present was simply to give a “birthday gift book” to every baby born during the centennial year.

  • Literacy Caravan

    In 2008, Scholastic, the world’s largest bookseller, and the Library Foundation joined forces to bring a mobile classroom on wheels to the city – RV decked out with literacy and art activities; space for story time; creative exploration, counting and more; and everyone leaves with a book.

  • San Antonio Book Festival

    The San Antonio Book Festival (SABF) is the signature program of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation. SABF has an Advisory Committee, Programming Committee, and Event Planning Committee, which consists of over 40 Volunteer Chairs who oversee 400 event volunteers.
